On February 3, 2022, the SCTPO in partnership with the Florida Department of Transportation - District Five, held the first Safe System Symposium in the state of Florida, where transportation planners, safety advocates, engineers, technical consultants, citizens, municipal representatives, and law enforcement officers gathered together to learn more about the Safe System Approach.
