The SCTPO has an extensive Performance Monitoring and Management Program that provides analysis of how the transportation network is performing and operating. The monitoring of the system through data collection and analysis is then used to identify low cost, localized improvements that improve system performance and efficiency. The identification of these projects are then implemented through the project prioritization process or by local governments or by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).
