528 Widening: Industry Road to SR 3
Project Information
This project includes widening and reconstruction of State Road (S.R.) 528 (S.R. A1A/Martin Andersen Beachline Expressway/Astronaut Boulevard) from four to six lanes from east of S.R. 524 to east of S.R. 3. The project includes the replacement of the bridges over U.S. 1, S.R. 3, the Indian River Relief Canal, and the westbound bridge over the Indian River. A shared-use trail is also included on the north side of S.R. 528.
528 Widening: SR 3 to Port Canaveral Interchange

Babcock Street PD&E Roadway Widening
Project Information
Study to address capacity and safety issues on Babcock Street from south of Micco Road (Deer Run Road) to Malabar Road in Brevard County, a distance of approximately 9 miles. The PD&E Study involves a combination of engineering analysis, environmental review and public involvement to evaluate options for widening Babcock Street from the current two-lane roadway to a four-lane roadway.
Clearlake Road (SR 501) Widening
Project Information
This project calls for widening State Road (S.R.) 501 (Clearlake Road) from three lanes to four lanes from south of Michigan Avenue to north of Otterbein Avenue, and from two lanes to four lanes from north of Otterbein Avenue to west of Industry Road. The proposed typical section will be a four-lane divided roadway with curb and gutter, with accommodation for bicycle lanes and sidewalks on both sides.
Malabar Road Widening
Project Information
The Florida Department of Transportation is examining the feasibility of widening Malabar Road to four lanes from east of Babcock Street to US 1. The addition of sidewalks and bicycle lanes is also being examined. The goal is to improve traffic flow and increase the safety and accessibility of the roadway for all users.
