Privacy Policy

Your privacy is very important to us. We do not collect personal information about you when you visit our website, unless you choose to make such information available to us.

When you visit the Space Coast TPO website, the server automatically recognizes only the Internet domain and IP address from which you accessed the site. This information does not result in identifying your personal email address or other personal information.

In addition, information is only gathered regarding the volume and timing of access to the site by collecting information on the date, time and pages you visited while at the site. This is done so that the content of the site can be improved, and your personal information is not identified.

If you choose to share personal information, such as by subscribing to an e-newsletter, sending a message or filling out an electronic form with personal information, the information will be saved for a designated period of time in order to comply with the state of Florida's archiving policies. However, information will not be disclosed to third parties or other government agencies, unless required by state or federal law. Please note that Florida's public records law requires that all information received in connection with state, county or city business be made available to anyone upon request, unless the information is subject to a specific statutory exemption.

If you have other questions about this privacy policy, or have suggestions on how it may be improved, please feel free to contact Abby Hemenway, Public Involvement Officer at abby.hemenway@brevardfl.gov or (321) 690-6890.

Public Records Requests

The Space Coast TPO is committed to handling requests to review or copy public records as quickly and efficiently as possible.  If you cannot find the documents you seek on our website, requests for public records can be made by calling us at (321) 690-6890 or e-mailing a request to abby.hemenway@brevardfl.gov, or mailing a request to the 2725 Judge Fran Jamieson Way, Building B - Room 105, Viera, FL 32940. Except for limited statutory exceptions, you are not required to give your name, explain why you are making a request, or submit a request for public records in writing.

Florida law authorizes agencies to recover certain costs associated with responding to public records requests.  In order to help us provide you the best response to your request, you should carefully consider what records you want to review or copy.

Sunshine Law

The Space Coast TPO operates under Florida’s Government-in-the-Sunshine law. This law provides a right of access for the public to governmental proceedings at both the state and local levels. It applies to any gathering of two or more members of the same board to discuss some matter which will come before that board for action in the foreseeable future. The law is applicable to any gathering, whether formal or casual, of two or more members of the same board or commission. Therefore, all meetings of the Space Coast TPO Board and its committees (CAC, TAC and BPTAC) are open to the public. In addition, reasonable notice of meetings of the board and committee meetings must be given.

Under Florida law, e-mail addresses are public records. If you do not want your e-mail address released in response to a public-records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity. Instead, contact this office by phone at (321) 690-6890. Please note that our phone system can capture a voicemail as a recording, which if emailed may also be subject to a public-records request.
