Named for a local resident and chief trail proponent, the Al Tuttle Trail is a 10 foot wide paved multi-use trail in South Brevard. Accessed from the Sand Hill Trail Head on Marie Street in Malabar, the trail meanders along the border of the Malabar Scrub Sanctuary. The trailhead includes ADA parking and restrooms. Additional unpaved trails are available within the Sanctuary.

The Al Tuttle Trail is part of the proposed 22-mile South Brevard Linear Trail, which will connect various preserve lands within the communities of Malabar, Palm Bay, Grant-Valkaria and Micco.

An example of many partners working together, the trail officially opened in 2013.

Both the Town of Malabar and the Town of Grant-Valkaria have active Trail committees. For a full look at the trails of Malabar please visit Malabar’s Virtual Trailhead.
