Citizens Advisory Committee
The function of the CAC is to provide citizens’ views and recommendations on projects, plans, and programs through the Committee to the SCTPO Governing Board. The CAC has 24 voting members and alternates appointed by local jurisdictions. Individuals interested in serving on the CAC may contact their county commissioner or city council representative to volunteer and may be appointed if there is a vacancy. The SCTPO Board must review and approve all appointments.
CAC meetings are held, in conjunction with the Technical Advisory Committee, at 9:30 am at the Center for Collaboration, located at 1100 Rockledge Blvd., on Monday of the same week as the SCTPO Governing Board. Exceptions are January, June, and August, which have no scheduled meetings.

The Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) is looking for engaged individuals to provide valuable input on local transportation planning. Getting involved is easy! Here's how:
- Contact your jurisdiction. Reach out to your local government agency (city clerk, city hall, County commission office) to learn more about the current seats or vacancies for the Space Coast TPO’s Citizens Advisory Committee and any specific requirements for your area.
- Note: If your local jurisdiction does not have any vacancies available on our CAC, check the current CAC roster below and select any jurisdiction with an opening. You do not need to live within the boundaries of the jurisdiction that nominates you, however, you must be a Brevard County citizen.

- Follow the nomination process. Each jurisdiction may have a nomination form or process. Be sure to inquire about any deadlines or additional materials needed.
- Appointment by the SCTPO Governing Board. Once a local jurisdiction formally nominates you and submits your nomination to the SCTPO for consideration, it will be included on the SCTPO’s Governing Board next regularly scheduled meeting for approval. Once your membership is approved, our Board Services Administrator will reach out with an introductory package to welcome you to the committee.
