The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) invites you to a public meeting regarding project plans on Fiske Boulevard (State Road (S.R.) 519) from Barbara Jenkins Street to King Street (S.R. 520) (FPID No. 451310-1) and at Levitt Parkway/Lakemoor Boulevard (FPID No. 450417-1) in Brevard County on Thursday, May 23, at 5:30 p.m.
The purpose of these projects is to enhance pedestrian and vehicle safety along the corridor. Work includes adding a concrete median traffic separator and a pedestrian-activated midblock crossing (FPID No. 451310-1). The project also will add a new traffic signal at the intersection of Fiske Boulevard and Levitt Parkway/Lakemoor Boulevard. (FPID No. 450417-1). Additional details are available in the attached project information handout. The public meeting is being held to present information and receive community feedback.
FDOT encourages community involvement and is offering this public meeting in person and virtually to provide more ways to participate. All attendees, regardless of which platform they choose, will receive the same information.
- In-Person Open House Option: Participants may attend in person by going to McLarty Park Community Center, 790 Barton Blvd., Rockledge, FL 32955 anytime between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. to view a looping presentation and project displays, speak with project team members, and submit comments or questions. If attending in person, please remember to follow all safety and sanitation guidelines. If you are feeling unwell, please consider attending the meeting virtually.
- Virtual Option: Interested persons may join over the Internet from a computer, tablet or mobile device at 5:30 p.m. For this option, advance registration is required by visiting https://fdot.cc/Fiske_Blvd_Improvements. Once registered, participants will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting online. If using a mobile device, use the GoToWebinar app to be able to view the presentation and submit comments. If joining online, please allow adequate time to log in to view the presentation in its entirety.
