Public Comment Process: Virtual Committee & Board Meetings

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and the long-term social distancing efforts necessary during the current state of emergency declared by Governor Desantis, the Space Coast TPO is now holding virtual meetings. The Space Coast TPO Executive Director has also issued SCTPO  Executive Order 20-15, adopting rules for use of communications media technology during health emergency.

Due to the constraints of having a virtual meeting, written and recorded comments will be accepted before, during, and after the meeting. All advanced written and recorded comments will be included as part of the official public record of the meeting and shall follow the guidelines listed below. 

Advanced Written Public Comments 

All advanced written and verbal comments for SCTPO Committee and Board meetings must be received by 4:00 p.m. the day prior to the scheduled meeting.

Advanced Verbal Public Comments

In lieu of an advanced written comment submission, the public may call in their public comments by: 
Calling or leaving a voice mail on the SCTPO main phone line at 321-690-6890

Those commenting verbally must provide:

Live Public Comments

Those wishing to provide comments during a meeting may either register and attend virtually or may attend in person. See below for instructions on both options.  

Attend via Webinar:

Participants MUST register if wishing to attend virtually. You may raise your hand (or enter your request to speak via the GoToWebinar chat/question box) either during Public Comment or at time agenda item is discussed. Once recognized by the Chair, your microphone will be un-muted and you will be given three minutes for comment.

Post-Meeting Comments

Verbal and written comments will also be accepted after the meeting. Comments must follow same format as advanced listed above.  All comments must be submitted no later than three business days after the virtual meeting is held.
