    […] Included in the LRTP is a projection of anticipated transportation funding and projected costs. Because funds are limited, public input is essential to help identify the priority projects that will be included in the plan for implementation. The LRTP may be amended periodically as a result of changes in projected federal, state, and local needs or funding. The public has the opportunity to provide input throughout the planning process which takes up to two years. The LRTP has its own public participation plan which may include a project website, a survey to gather broad input, and special public hearings.
