US 1 Corridor Planning Study

Contact: Georganna Gillette

This corridor planning study is designed to evaluate multimodal transportation improvements along a one mile section of US 1 in Titusville from Laurel Place to Indian River Avenue.

A public kick-off meeting is scheduled for July 29, 2015 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Titusville City Hall in the Council Chambers. Read more details.

Included within the corridor is the planned Space Coast Loop Trail, a 40-mile loop connecting downtown Titusville, Kennedy Space Center, the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and Northern Brevard County.

The study will involve extensive community input in determining how best to meet the needs of current and future users, as well as a long-term plan to guide evolution of the corridor so that it appropriately balances land use and transportation.

A kick-off meeting for stakeholders was held on April 13, 2015. Learn more by visiting the FDOT project website.
