The East Central Florida Corridor Task Force is part of the Florida’s Future Corridor Initiative, a cooperative effort between FDOT and regional partners, including the SCTPO, to envision and plan for the next 50 years of major statewide transportation corridors. The Task Force is made up of 13 members representing local governments, private landowners, and business, environmental and agricultural interests. The charge of the Task Force includes the identification of anticipated future development patterns and associated mobility and connectivity needs in portions of Brevard, Orange, and Osceola Counties, as well as potential solutions for addressing these needs through coordinated planning and partnerships.

The Task Force met several times throughout 2014 and a Final Report was delivered to the Governor in December 2014.
