Embraer Legacy Deal: Jobs, $48 Million in Funding

The Melbourne Airport Authority has scheduled a special meeting on Wednesday where it’s likely to spin off on an agreement with Embraer Executive Aircraft Inc. and its plans to assemble the Legacy class of jets at Melbourne International Airport.

The expansion by the Brazilian jet maker’s U.S. division, which already assembles the Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 business jets at Melbourne International, could mean 600 manufacturing jobs paying an annual average wage of $55,000 by 2019. Read the full article.
